So, many people will ask me that very question: Chris, why do you not like Kingdom Hearts?
The reason is simple: Due to the Disney half of it, I simply CANNOT take it seriously. I watched a video the other night of Sephiroth in KH2, and untill Goofy opened his mouth, it was all awesome. At any point the Disney characters were quite, or better yet, not on screen, the game seemed alright, albeit a little childish on apperance. However, once any of them showed up or talked… I just instantly lost interest.
If you like the series, good for you. I simply cannot at all enjoy it when half the time it is supposed to be this epic universe-scaling story, yet it has what ammounts to a total moron, a duck you cannot make shit out from, and who knows what else from the king of American childrens entertainment shoved in your face all the time. It just doesn’t work for me, and never will. Not that they are bad games, but… why would I like them if I cannot get into them? I don’t think I am actually missing out on anything when, if I was to play the game, I would not enjoy it because of a MAJOR factor in it.
That simple. It just doesn’t work for me.
