Coming up tonight, or early tomorrow morning I should say, will be the launch of a Delta IV rocket carrying a pair of “Space Situational Awareness Program” satellites into a near geosynchronous orbit. Like most military payloads, these satellites are a bit of a mystery, but from what I can gather they will provide a boost to the tracking of objects in space.
While this isn’t a Delta IV Heavy like the NROL-37 launch the other month, this will still be an awesome launch to watch.
Below is the video showing the launch profile for this mission – typical of Delta IV. As always (where possible) I will be live tweeting the event, so, if you follow me on twitter, be sure to check that out!
