Here we go again! Popping up today was a rumor that Nintendo is ending production on the NES Classic Edition in the upcoming months. Now, back in early January or so, I had said that the NES Classic was a holiday only item, information that was given to me by a reliable source – this proved to be untrue, and more units wound up in stores a few weeks later, so it seems like anything is possible at this rate.
Still, in the comments of the very video that alerted me to this rumor, people are saying Nintendo has reported this as false. Of course, they said the same about WiiU production ending, and we all know that happened a few months ago, so it really does seem like anything goes. Nintendo could be telling us the truth or lying in mass – this rumor comes from retailer reports, but you never know.
I honestly can’t make a call one way or the other. All I know is, I’m tired of being asked for the console day in, day out, but that’s another story.
