Now for something completely different and rather amusing, I bring you something quite random I found out about only towards the tail end of it happening: The Facebook page Super Deluxe had a live race between a Tortoise and a Hare, as per the classic story.

It looks like all the two had to do was move about 20 feet from start to finish. Nothing else.
In a comedic twist, beyond all the epic music playing, the hare, for the near 40 minutes the race took, just sit in a corner sniffing around, eventually moving towards the goal only to turn back around, never crossing it.
The tortoise however eventually got in gear and actually started moving, and move he did. Slowly, but surely, much like the old story, and after about 20 minutes, he was at the finish line. 10 minutes later, the race was over. I won’t spoil the ending for you, though.
And yes, I actually spent time writing this article, because why not? This was just one of those strange things on the internet that quite a few people really enjoyed.
