So, I’ve explained to the best of my ability just what the name “xadara” actually means (if anything) and the origins and story of the website itself, but one question still remains: What’s the point?
Indeed, that’s the question that is probably most important, but can be answered so simply, What’s the point?
Well, there really isn’t one, but there is all the same. Let me explain.
The idea is somewhat obvious – xadara is a website. Websites contain information of some kind. It is currently in a weblog or “blog” format of constant updates, known as articles, being posted, categorized, and shared. These contain my thoughts on various subjects of interest, often times with accompanying information of some useful form, or something I just feel like sharing, which is all put on the site for the enjoyment of whomever might find it interesting, and as a way to share my thoughts publicly in an easily accessible way.
Sure, everyone does that, with facebook, twitter, and in the past livejournal and myspace, but in the case of Xadara, I just wanted to do my own thing. Run some ads, try to make some money back (which I honestly make jack didlly from the site – it really is a labor of love) , and otherwise just type away, sharing whatever I feel needs to be shared. Sometimes I’m nice and happy, sometimes I’m expressing my dislike of something, and other times I just don’t know what I even think, but still, if I feel it worth someones interest, I will share my thoughts.
That’s the nature of society, an element of human nature, really, to share what one thinks about things, and Xadara is used for that. There really is no point beyond that, but that’s what makes things great in that I can pretty much do whatever without too much focus or reason. I do it because I can and I want to.
That’s about the best way I can explain it. Otherwise, maybe the website tagline makes more sense. Xadara is, indeed, a geeky little blog about nothing particular.
