A week ago, there were somewhere around 4 posts a day, as a side effect of E3 going on. Now, a week later, it’s been far more quiet. The reason behind it is quite simple: I’ve been taking some time for myself, trying to enjoy gaming, and just relax. E3 proved this year to be, just like most any year, more of a chore than it should have been – this isn’t just to do with writing about announcements and the like from it but also to do with the people – the fanboys and their downright childishly shitty attitudes.
I love gaming, but the human element is just intolerable sometimes. It was one thing back when we were children, to have these attitudes and alliances as strongly as some people seem to show. Having a preference is fine, but how one shows their allegiance and addresses other things is the problem. I’ve seen so much petty shit I just can’t even contain how I feel on it (yes, there is an upcoming article on this, and no, it’s not going to be nice).
Beyond this I’ve been working on some other, unrelated and mostly not-public things, and taking some time, ironically, for gaming. Being forced to take a break due to limits built into Triberr, and some of the frustration relating to being effectively stopped from sharing via these blocks worked hand in hand to at least act as a push towards taking a break and spending time on things I’ve been wanting to do, but for whatever reason haven’t.
Bah, I don’t know, it’s 1AM, I’ve been working all day. I just wanted to get something out on the regular. Hopefully Thursday I’ll crank out some more good old content, and finish up covering E3 related stuff that I DID want to cover this past week, but couldn’t.
It’s been somewhat relaxing, for sure, but I really do want to get back to the “average” content production rate.
