We’re reaching the tail end of Summer, the month of August, and that means another stash of games to sit there and rot away on my Xbox One hard drive! Seriously, I need to get around to playing some of these games!
Anyway, let’s get going.
For the Xbox One, we got Slime Rancher and Trials Fusion. Hell yeah Slime Rancher! I have been wanting to try it out for a while now, and it looks like me biding my time is paying off. Looks like a fun game, for sure – certainly better than Goat Simulator.
Trials Fusion is fun – played the demo quite a bit when I’ve been out and about, and it’s not bad – at least, the parts that were in the demo. It reminds me of an old DOS game I played that was basically the same thing – balancing a bike along a 2D plane. Cool.
On the 360 we have Baynetta and Red Faction: Armageddon. Bayonetta was one of the games I bought when I finally decided to buy a 360 a few years ago, and while I haven’t finished it (it gets kind of brutal difficulty wise) I do enjoy the hell out of it – fun characters, great world design, and solid gameplay. It’s worth it.
Now, as for Red Faction: Armageddon, I know jack diddly about this game or the series other than Mars is involved… so uh, yeah, take that for what you will. It will probably be a fine game, but I don’t know when I will get around to playing yet another FPS. They get old…. very old….
So yeah, another set of games. Slime Rancher and Bayonetta are the big dogs this time. I’m happy with em, at least!
