In what seems so far to be a flawless mission, Soyuz MS-05 made a successful docking with the Rassvet module of the International Space Station slightly ahead of schedule, a little before 6 hours after its launch on the 28th.
The images of the docking are quite beautiful – the below video shows views from both the docking camera on the Soyuz as well as from the crew on the ISS, and stationary cameras on board the vehicle.
Don’t have much in the way of commentary – it’s just a pretty sight, seeing the slow but steady motion Soyuz makes towards the station before that moment of capture – it really makes me smile to know things went fine (as they seem to almost always do) in getting the crew to the station.
As always, enjoy the video.
