As the title suggest, I’ve had the SNES Classic Edition for about 2 weeks. That’s been enough time, along with my work schedule and Xadara stuff, to manage to complete everything on Super Mario World and to play all the way through Earthbound.
Sure, I’ve touched on a few things – unlocked Star Fox 2 only to never play it. I’ve touched on Castlevania IV and Super Ghouls N’ Ghosts, but otherwise it’s mainly been Earthbound that’s taken up my time.
What’s interesting about this is the fact that I’ve barely touched my Xbox One in the past 2 weeks. No Destiny, no Sonic Mania, nothing that you would think I’d be playing now. Maybe it’s due to work, and me messing with modern consoles all the time, or maybe its due to the SNES Classic being at my desk, as opposed to connected to the main TV – probably that, more than anything else, since I tend to spend much of my time, of course, at the computer and I could game while working on something else. Not the best way to play, sure, but hey, it works.
Incidentally, this reminds me that I really could, and should, cover a few games on the console – both classics, like Earthbound, that I’ve been wanting to complete for years, and other games that I’m long overdue for even trying out.
Incidentally, there has been a bit of a lack of gaming related content here, so this article is partially a response to that. It’s been a while since I really gamed this much, honestly, and it’s been pretty good – especially to have finally finished Earthbound, something I’ve been long overdue for.
More to come, stick around.
