Every year I make it a point to only halfway care about E3. The event is generally just a concerted hype show and nothing more at this stage, about as outdated to me as many consider newspapers and the like. That being said, I’m still a gamer, and still have to pay some attention to the event, and naturally being an Xbox gamer, the Microsoft presentation was certainly one I actually cared about.
Not enough to watch it myself, though, oh no – I had a friend actually relay to me the announcements as they happened. This morning Microsoft produced a condensed version of their announcement set, which I feel like sharing with you here – The Xbox E3 2018 briefing, in just under 3 minutes.
If you ask me, it looks pretty damn good. 5 new developer studios added into the Microsoft fold, 18 (yes, eighteen) new exclusives a new Halo and multiple new Gears titles, and even more Xbox One X enhanced titles? Presuming they don’t fuck it up like every game company seems to do these days, we’re looking for a hell of a year coming up for the Xbox One.
