Finishing out the “big 3” presentations for E3 2018, we have the Nintendo Direct stream from earlier today.
The big deal for this one is, of course, details on the new Super Smash Bros. game, titled “Super Smash Bros. Ultimate” but Nintendo did cover a solid assortment of new titles, some in greater detail than others.
Of course the Switch was the focus, continuing to prove the point I made when the Switch was originally presented that the DS hardware series is truly on its way out.
Being a Nintendo Direct presentation, it’s far more crisp and polished than the other main presentations at E3. Of course, this is just a Nintendo Direct presentation, with the real bulk of Nintendo’s live presentation being the “Nintendo Treehouse” live event, streaming the 12th through the 14th. E3 is kind of a wild event, with everything happening at once, give or take, hence my more focused-on-the-main-presentations coverage this year.
I don’t have much else to say about this one – it’s exactly what I was expecting from the big N, but the way this past year has gone for them makes me incredibly happy – it’s almost a renaissance for the company, one that I’ve been hoping for since the Wii.
Anyway, as for the Nintendo Direct presentation, here ya go!
