Here we go, another super rushed end-of-the-night entry, but I’m keeping my “one article each day in September” goal!
I’ve been debating for pretty much the entirety of this sites heavily active period (read, the past 2 and a half years) the idea of running posts on a schedule. I’ve done this before, actually, with “Space Saturday” and “Scammer Sunday” but I found it more pressing to cover space-related topics as close to their happening as possible, and the scambaiting scene quickly got stale – it was better for me to cover select events in scambaiting from certain people on YouTube, rather than every single upload, most of which are the same old thing over and over (more on that in the future.)
So, those plans failed, but other content that isn’t time sensitive might do better on a schedule. The only problem? The fact that I’m somewhat conscious of what may be around those articles. There is some content I don’t mind covering on the site, but would rather not be posted right next to another article – I don’t need an AVGN episode to be posted next to something far more serious. Then again, that shouldn’t matter but, well, it does to me.
I’ve talked about much of this in previous update articles, but as I keep saying, it’s worth me thinking out loud on these things (or, thinking in text, I guess) and figuring out what I wish to do. Who knows, other bloggers might take something out of reading this. Who knows.
I’ll probably, for now, keep up with the usual “publish as I see fit” pattern I’ve been going with, but a future project would fit well being scheduled. We’ll see what happens.
