Dang, it’s been a week since the last major post here. All I’ve done since then are a few update posts which really haven’t been all that necessary. Right, I guess it’s time to get back to normal around here. I’m going to try to keep this short and to the point – no need for anything too long.
Tonight I’ll get back to posting stuff. The week-long break has been a bit of a necessity but I’m already behind on being behind if that makes sense. I’m going to try to focus more on my various article series, as I’ve stated before – cover those things I like and want to talk about that aren’t time sensitive while covering some more important things where I feel they are worth discussing.
That’s nothing new, but this does contrast with something else I do on here – covering space subjects. I wrote last week about this becoming an issue, and the only solution I have is to just cut back. I can’t cover every news piece – this isn’t a space site. There’s still plenty I want to talk about, including the Apollo program 50th anniversary which is happening now (we’re between the 50 year mark of Apollo 7 and 8 for those who don’t know) and there are some current missions I enjoy talking about, but I’ve worked myself into a corner covering these things and I really need to keep this site focused on other things. It’s eating up too much of my time, as are these kinds of posts.
It will be hard, but I’m just going to have to cut back. That simple. Maybe set up a subsite on here to cover things – MAYBE, but at this stage, it’s better for me to write other things than to focus on every single space probe launch, orbital mission, or new discovery. I really do hate it, but I feel my love of space is getting in the way of my other hobbies, and given the nature of the space scene today, it’s probably better that I step back a bit.
Still, don’t expect me to not share something from time to time – I will cover launches of greater interest, certain updates that I feel are really worth writing something about, etc… but the fact is I don’t want to focus as much on these things anymore as they are clearly getting in the way.
That’s just how it is sometimes, I guess…
More to come, hopefully, tonight, as always.
