At the end of every month I like to set up a “goals list” for the next month on this website in the form of these “What’s coming” articles. Each month I make some progress but never really “complete” these goals.
This month is going to be different, as I’m not going to set any explicit goals — no projections as to what’s to come, beyond the same stuff I’ve said previous months.
I’m working on relaxing a bit, and that includes working on this site. I feel perhaps if I go a bit more free-form with it things may come more naturally and in the end I’ll actually be more productive than if I stress out on keeping up X articles a week, or Y topics in a certain period of time.
This also will contrast with the same month last year where I set out on a “blog entry a day” challenge which, quite honestly didn’t go so well. Yes, I accomplished the goal of writing one entry every 24 hours, but it began a process which lead to one hell of a burnout, and I don’t need that happening again. I rather enjoy writing, but don’t want to force myself — just go with the flow, as they say.
Don’t read this wrong, I’ve got quite a bit I want to do, stuff I think regular readers will enjoy and may well attract some new people, but I’ll make it happen when I feel like it. That simple. We’ll see what happens, I guess.
Here’s to September being a damn fun month here on Xadara 😀
