Better slightly late, than never, I guess — it’s October 30th, and Microsoft finally released the video for the November 2019 Games with Gold lineup! Let’s dive in!
Starting off on the Xbox One we have Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter and The Final Station.
Okay, this looks kind of interesting at least. Sure, it’s Sherlock Holmes, a character I’ve never really gotten into as a concept, but I can easily look past that — this honestly looks like it may be a fun one to go through, given what appears to be some supernatural aspects to the story — it’s more like some kind of semi-horror story with Holmes thrown in. Cool… maybe.
Next up is The Final Station. Dystopian world train operating? Okay… Side scrolling platformer with survival aspects? Okay, you’ve got my interest. Looks like it could be a fun time. Put this one in my “interested” pile.
As for the Xbox / Xbox 360 side of things, we get Star Wars Jedi Starfighter and JoyRide Turbo.
Jedi Starfighter? Alright, that’s pretty cool. I don’t care too much for the prequel series, but I like any kind of “flight sim” game, especially space based combat, so I’m all over this one.
Lastly, for the Xbox 360, we have JoyRide Turbo, an arcade style racing game which could be fun? There wasn’t much for them to say about this one, but maybe that’s good? I’ll stay optimistic till I finally give it a play. Who knows, I could enjoy it. Or maybe I won’t. I’ll say this much — it’s still going to be better than F1 2013.
All in all, a pretty “meh” assortment with one high point, but I’m not one to complain — not about stuff I’m getting for free, and yes, these are “free.”
There is no additional cost to obtain them, you’re already paying for a service and these are available with that service. It’s not a hard concept, but people want to try to undermine everything as a way to attack it.
Anyway, see you this time next month! Happy gaming!
