Yeah, we’re a month late on this one. Don’t quite know how that happened, but better late than never – this time around I have, straight from the Echidna’s mouth, the plans my friend “Prince Watercress” has for 2020.
For those who don’t know who he is, I’ll give you a short primer: He’s been one of my best friends for over a decade. An Echidna-obsessed gamer who also happens to really enjoy wrestling in much the same way I enjoy space and rocketry. He has a massive YouTube channel with, at current count 210 separate games he’s done “Let’s Play” style videos for. He also maintains gaming and wrestling blogs that are more active than even this site alone — let alone put together, the level of content made by him daily is staggering.
He kind of acts as a counterpart in the “Xadara” concept to what I do here. He gets the idea and “goes with the flow” doing his own thing, and you’ve gotta respect that, even if you don’t care for wrestling or let’s plays. There’s no denying he loves what he does.
In any case, enough of my rambling — here’s what he has to say about the far off space year of 2020. Take it away, Watercress.
I know that this is a bit late, but hey, everyone! This is PrinceWatercress, and I might as well go over what’s going on in my half of Xadara for 2020.
Since December of 2018, I have been making written companion blogs for all of my videos for everything past Castle of Illusion for Master System. So far, I have gotten quite a few of these blog entries published and linked to in the descriptions of the YouTube videos that they apply to. As of the time of this writing, I am nearly done with just about everything that I have uploaded after more than a year of work, and once I am completely up to speed, expect the newest uploads to start having their own blog entry as soon as they hit YouTube! No more waiting months or even years to make written guides for my Let’s Plays…you’ll get the written stuff as soon as you get the videos!
Speaking of videos, those are still coming! I’ve done a bit of horizon expanding since getting a new desktop in 2017, and that doesn’t plan on stopping in 2020. I want to expand past PlayStation and Saturn and delve into gaming from the 2000s, starting with the Sony PlayStation 2. All I need to do is get a video capture device, maybe get a new desk setup, figure out how to do everything, and I’ll be all set. Speaking of Sony PlayStation 2, I plan on doing some gaming on some real hardware instead of just emulating stuff throughout the year. I started in December with a 100% clear of Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus and rolled into January with a 100% clear of Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, and the late night gaming jones is rolling on with an attempt at a 100% clear of Sly 2: Band of Thieves. Stay locked in to twitter.com/princewatercres to see daily updates of what I’m doing in my little PS2 journeys as well as what I’ll be playing from there.
Try It Out Tuesday will still continue much like it has in 2018 and 2019, and as long as I can find the inspiration for new games that I want to play through and figure out, Try It Out Tuesday will live on each and every week. You might see some systems such as the BBC Micro get more representation, and maybe even more Super Nintendo games, since I have my ways of putting more games on the Tuesday backlog set up and ready. Let’s see how stuff goes.
The wrestling blog is getting more work than ever. Sadly, I couldn’t do a lot of classic show entries for 2019, and 2020 is up in the air right now. On the other hand, now that All Elite Wrestling has premiered in October, and my local area has its own local version of Championship Wrestling From Hollywood’s weekly show as of the day before WrestleMania 35, I’m now following five different wrestling companies at once. Expect new entries of the newest shows up to be up at least six days a week, tops, due to Monday through Saturday having at least one weekly show that I keep up with. 2019 had over 600 events covered, and 2020 doesn’t seem to be any different.

Welcome to 2020. It’s workhorse time.
See what I mean? If any of this seems interesting to you, I urge you to check it out. He’s got a razor-sharp focus for what he likes and what he does and, much like me, he doesn’t want to produce garbage content.
I’ll leave you with just one of his Let’s Play video sets, this time on a game I really enjoyed, Captain Skyhawk. Enjoy!
