Yes, you’re reading that correctly – XadaraCast is back! Yes, I make that sound far more exciting than it is, because we all know the internet totally needed another podcast but damn if I haven’t for years really wanted to have one of these going and damn if each time I try things just kind of fall short.
The past two weekends my buddy Prince Watercress and I have tried to get things going again, and while the first recording was an absolute disaster the second one, which was basically a structured re-recording of the original first episode plan, went off pretty darn well. In fact, I’d say better than most any recording he and I have done previously.
Perhaps we’ve finally learned something from years of starting and stopping the podcasts for various reasons, or maybe it was just a fluke and this Sunday’s recording will suck again — who knows, but for now I’m considering our podcast back in action!
The plan is to have weekly episodes of about one hour in length recorded on Sunday and published to Xadara proper on Monday. From there a “video” version of the podcast will be uploaded to LBRY sometime within the same week, with the full episode later arriving on YouTube (along with various clips) in the following week or two.
Of course, the episodes audio form will be available on iTunes / Apple Podcasts and Spotify, and I’ll look into other syndication platforms as time allows – episodes will always be, first and foremost, uploaded here and will be available on the podcast feed which can be found here.
So that’s really all I had to say there – I guess this is what happens when I hear one too many times that I “have a good radio voice” (yes, that’s happened at least 3 separate times) and you’ve got a bit too much time to kill on the weekend.
We’ll see how long this one lasts, but for now I’m just enjoying the ride, so to speak. More to come, as always.
