Man, I’m glad I got to this one on time. Yep, I’m super happy I didn’t have to write this a month late and change the publish date so it doesn’t look like I completely forgot. Nope, that’s not what happened at all 😉
Yeah, I know, this one’s completely pointless now but I have a track record of writing these entries and I’ll be damned if I don’t keep that pattern going!
Without further delay, a very late look at the May games with gold lineup.
On the Xbox One lineup were Armello and Dungeons 3.
With Armello we have a card game table top RPG hybrid, in video game form, with what looks like a focus of animal character. Okay, that’s neat. I’ll need to give this a try whenever I finally get back to gaming.
As for Dungeons 3, now we’re talking — I’m a massive fan of the Dungeon Keeper games (well, the two good ones, not that pay to play mobile mess from a while back) and so this game speaks to my inner PC gaming geek very well. I’m surprised I haven’t started with it yet, but that goes to show just how busy I’ve been. Incidentally, as of the time of me writing this.. I mean, “updating” this (wink wink) it’s still available as a GWG game, so that’s cool.
On to the Xbox 360 lineup we have Lego Batman and Tropico 4.
No. Just no. I don’t give two shits about Batman, and those Lego games are tedious as all hell. I’m too old to have a nostalgia fix for them, and I’m so tired of the whole superhero thing I could scream… just no. I don’t give a damn.
Tropico 4 on the other hand, well, that’s at least something. This series is supposed to be pretty good. Makes me think of a cross between Sim City and Civilization. I’ll need to give this one a go as well — should be a fun time.
And that’s that. Why am I so late on getting these out each month? I have no idea, but it is what it is. Not a bad lineup, barring the Batman game. The irony being most of the comments in the peanut gallery (read, the YouTube comments for the above video) are praising the Batman game and nothing else. Go figure…
