The past few days have been a bit of a flurry of activity here on Xadara — it’s almost as if I’m back “in the groove” finally after two years of minimal writing, and I couldn’t be happier with that!
Of course, I opened with something completely atypical of my blog writing. That’s because not only did I feel the time was right to go on and say what I’ve been thinking for some time on the subject at hand, but also I felt jump starting things with a subject different from anything normal would make things feel more fresh and exciting from a standpoint of putting thoughts into text. I must say, it has been exactly that. Quite a rush, in a way, to do something so specifically targeted, but also a nice way to push my writing skills a bit more; work the cobwebs out, if you will, and warm up to actual act of writing regularly again.
That being said, regular readers may be curious as to what’s to come — is the “new” content all I’m going to do? Hardly! The core content (heavily gaming and tech related) that I’ve done in the past will return and be expanded upon, but I’ve also become comfortable with covering more serious subjects, like I originally wanted to do.
At the same time, I know fully I don’t want to create anything like a “news” blog, but a more traditional “here’s what I think” or “here’s something cool” kind of style. Certainly, I’ll cover subjects, but the days of me covering every rocket launch, for example, are long gone, as are the days of me giving a flying fuck about gaming news beyond anything that may interest me.
Of course, it’s been that way for a while now, but at this stage I know a more free form blogging approach is what’s best for me.
It’s been an incredibly eventful past two years for everyone; I’m no exception, and I needed that time to take stock of what I have, what I’ve done, and what I wish to do.
The great thing is, I’m more confident in who I am than I ever have been in my life, and for those of you who have taken a liking to me expressing myself, well, you’re in for a treat.
…oh, and if you don’t like me, good. I don’t care. Go on about your day. You choose to pay attention, it’s your own fault if you get offended.
Right, that’s enough for now. Simply put we’ve got a healthy mix of the old and the new coming to this web space. Keep an eye out. 🙂
