That’s right, for Monster Madness 2013 James decided to do another sequel-a-thon, this time taking a look at sequels to The Mummy, the Hammer Frankenstein films, Gamera, Alien, and Day of the Dead. Oh yeah, this ones a little wild, a bit all over the place (at least, it seems that way until Monster Madness 2014) but, like the first Sequel-A-Thon, it has a nice informational bent to it and the film series it covers.
James was able to put a bit more into this years MM, especially by, much like in Camp Cult, showing himself in each review inside of his then-current “movie room” which was themed to resemble a video rental store from the late 80’s or early 90’s. A room I would have certainly liked to check out along with the adjacent Nerd room proper. It’s a shame James had to move out of that house (more on that in an upcoming AVGN review) and yes, there was some controversy surrounding that but we’re getting way off track — here we have what would be one of the last “traditional” feeling Monster Madness years, with it at the same time being the first “modern” feeling one.
Come on down to Cine massacre video and check it out.
