Last Wednesday I came home from work and did one of the normal things I do of loading Firefox and hopping on YouTube to queue up whatever catches my interest. In this case, I actually had a few video pages already loaded, with the “new” layout still present, ugly as ever. After getting done with those videos I loaded up some more and almost didn’t notice that things had gone back to how they were.
That’s right…
Google actually fucking listened to user feedback. At least, that’s what I like to think happened. I thought it might have been a fluke but no, it wasn’t — the previous night I was still getting the garbage new layout, and by the next afternoon things were the way they should be, with a sensible layout that is actually usable.
It took them long enough. I hope whomever was involved in that being pushed into production was fired.
